CK Science are pleased to announce the winner of this year’s final year student prize for pharmaceutical analysis. Maggie Su Su Tiong gained excellent final year results and secured herself a placement working in biotechnology research. She was such a hit there, that they offered her a contract after completing her course. Maggie came to receive her certificate and a cheque for £250 from consultant Barney Smith in Durham. Congratulations Maggie and here’s to your continuing success in your scientific career.

Flow Cytometry is a technique that is growing in popularity amongst the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical communities. CK Science is currently working with a range of clients who are looking for experienced Flow Cytometry Scientists to analyse samples, carry out method development or validation work. In addition we have been working with Instrumentation companies developing high resolution Flow Cytometry systems - these companies are actively looking for good Flow Cytometry Scientists to move into sales based roles talking to clients about their research and making recommendations about the kind of instrumentation and controlling software they could use to enhance their research. Scientists in Dundee have been given £10.8m to continue developing new drugs for global diseases. It will be a collaboration between Dundee University and large pharmaceutical firms.
